A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS

The K.N.E.W. Solutions has developed a holistic approach to college readiness.  Oftentimes students enter college prepared academically; however, they lack the essential hard and soft skills to not only successfully prepare for college, but also to succeed during and after college.  To support the overall achievement, The K.N.E.W. Solutions provides a comprehensive College Readiness Program for students from 5th- 12th grade and beyond. The College Prep Solutions Program (CPSP) is a comprehensive training, education, and engagement program that provides students with the tools to not only be successful in college, but also for life.  The CPSP will improve students’ knowledge and awareness about the actions they must take to create favorable circumstance before, during, and after college. We address the process of maturing and making decisions in every area of students’ lives: physically, socially, emotionally, mentally, financially, relationally, academically, and professionally. The CPSP facilitators strive to ensure that students are well-rounded, have hope, and are intentional about their lives, while providing them with the knowledge to succeed in every area.

    College Readiness is not the belief that every student will attend college. It is the idea that every student deserves the opportunity to be educated in a way to prepare them for college.

    The following modules are included in the CPSP.  Modules can be implemented individually, in clusters, or on an “as needed” basis.
